Our adventures welcome children aged 3 and up. Guided Nature Walks start at age 3, Gentle Day Hikes suit children 5 and older, and Sunset & Explorer Camps are best for ages 7 and up. Every outing is paced for kids, so younger siblings in strollers are welcome on nature walks and seasonal events.
Yes. At least one responsible adult must stay with each family for the entire adventure. It's not only a safety requirement — our guides design activities that parents and kids enjoy together, and those shared moments are the heart of every outing.
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes or sneakers. Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and a small snack. We provide the activity kit, safety gear, and any special equipment needed for the adventure. A detailed packing list is emailed to you after booking.
Light rain rarely stops us — many families love a drizzly walk. In the event of severe weather, lightning, or unsafe trail conditions, we'll reschedule your adventure at no cost. We monitor forecasts closely and always put safety first.
Simply fill out the contact form on our Contact page and let us know which adventure and date you'd like. We'll confirm availability and details within 24 hours. Weekend spots fill fast, so booking a few weeks ahead is recommended.
You can reschedule any Single Explorer or Family Pass up to 48 hours before the start time at no charge. Cancellations made more than 48 hours ahead receive a full refund. Private Group bookings can be rescheduled with 72 hours' notice. Extreme weather rescheduling is always free.
Yes! Repeated explorers save with our multi-adventure options. Many families combine a nature walk, a day hike, and a seasonal event over a season. Mention your plans on the Contact form and we'll set you up with the best bundle price.
We run adventures across New York's parks, preserves, and green spaces — within easy reach of the city. The specific meeting point for your chosen adventure is shared in your confirmation email, along with parking and transit directions.
Public adventures keep groups small — typically 8 to 15 children — so every explorer gets personal attention. Private Group adventures can host up to 15 kids (or up to 30 for larger school and community groups on request).
Absolutely. Every guide is trained in outdoor safety, child engagement, and first aid, and has experience working with young children. We're fully licensed and insured, and each adventure includes a safety briefing before we set off.
